Liz has 17 years of experience as a nurse anesthesiologist at large academic medical centers and surgical centers on both the East and West coast. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester, Liz went onto work in the operating room and surgical intensive care unit. In 2006 she obtained a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesiology from Columbia University in New York City and worked at the world renown Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. About 5 years into her anesthesia practice, Liz began her PhD studies at the University of San Diego – graduating in 2017. With a background and current practice deep in academia and research, she often employs best practice recommendations and current evidence in patients she cares for as well as offering insight to other Axiom providers.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Axiom Anesthesia, Liz ensures every center is staffed effectively and with consistent and high-caliber providers while working alongside Eric and Helen to ensure the group exceeds standards in both clinical and business relationships.
With a career spanning over a decade, Eric has had the privilege of serving the medical community with a commitment to excellence and innovation. Eric's career began with a BS in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. After two years in the intensive care unit at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Eric embarked on his anesthesia journey at the University of Southern California. Upon graduating in 2011, he refined his skills working as a faculty CRNA at Keck Hospital of USC, learning the intricate balance between science and compassion, and the critical role that anesthesia plays in patient care. Eric then pursued his MBA at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
As the Chief Financial Officer of Axiom Anesthesia, Eric plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. In addition to his primary role as a full-time anesthesia provider, Eric takes on the multifaceted responsibility of managing the company's financial operations. His expertise extends to overseeing anesthesia provider payroll, and managing the intricate web of surgery center and insurance invoicing, and finally, leading our efforts in collections, which is crucial for the financial sustainability of Axiom Anesthesia. These tasks demand attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the health care billing process. With his dedication and financial acumen, he ensures that the company's revenue stream remains robust, allowing us to continue our mission of delivering top-tier patient care and fostering a positive work environment.
Helen graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Nurse Anesthesiology program at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California in 2011. She was the recipient of the Agatha Hodgins Award (Outstanding Graduate Nurse Anesthetist) for her graduating class. She has practiced anesthesia in the Los Angeles area for the past 13 years, in both large, academic hospital settings and in the private practice arena, at multiple outpatient surgery centers. She takes great pride in delivering exceptional care to her patients, ensuring their safety and comfort being her top priority. Helen understands that for many patients, undergoing anesthesia is anxiety-provoking and she values the trust that is placed in her by her patients. Prior to her anesthesia training, Helen attended UCLA for her BA in French and California State University, Long Beach for her BS in Nursing.
As a Managing Partner of Axiom Anesthesia, Helen ensures all our providers are credentialed appropriately at each center and also works onboarding new providers to the group. Helen also serves as a liaison for centers regarding clinical practice recommendations.
